Autumn Sunshine

We had a wonderful weekend. It all started out Friday evening with dinner at the Lebanese Taverna at Pentagon Row. As Gabriela got antsy at the very end, we walked around in the courtyard, made some little friends, and admired the fountains. On a little evening stroll, we came across a lady who was kind enough to let Gabriela pet her puppy dog. She did the most darling, excited, this-is-too-cool-to-be-true laugh at being able to pet a real, live, fluffy, puppy dog. It was enough to almost make me want to get a dog. almost. but not quite.

Saturday we spent the afternoon at Crafty Bastards Arts & Crafts Fair. They had some cool stuff, but it was WAY too crowded for my tastes. Especially when you have a baby stroller. We decided to peace out and headed over to the fountain and park at Dupont Circle. Gabriela had a little lunch, chased the birds, danced to a drummer and checked out the fountain while Lane got a sunburn. Seriously, in October, when last weekend was all dreary and rainy and gray. We then headed over to Eastern Market where were happily surprised not to see the crazy crowds at Crafty Bastards.

Sunday was awesome cousin time. Jen & Chris and their three kids drove down where we shared with them the wonders of Kabob Palace and then headed over to the zoo together.

What a lovely way to enjoy this beautiful autumn sunshine.

pics coming soon.
