Part of the reason we couldn't resist coming out for a visit was the opportunity to share in celebrating Grandma Chaney's 90th birthday. Here is Claire with the handmade birthday banner she made Grandma.We surprised Grandma, and she was so excited we came all the way from DC for her party.
Annie did a great job preparing for the party. She framed tons of old photos of Grandma and put them throughout the house , in addition to some photo albums, and memory books for people to write little notes to Grandma. They were a hit.
I think we were all surprised by how famous Grandma Chaney has been over the years. Annie put lots of these articles out on display. Most of them were about Grandma's awesome bowling skillz and competitions she won. Go, Grandma!

WOW!!! Happy Birthday!!! That's awesome, and being 90??? Wow, she looks amazing! How cool to see all the "Grover Siblings" together...they've all changed so much since I saw all of them YEARS ago...they are all GROWED up ;)
if she looks that fabulous at age 90, I'm betting you will be invited to her 100th birthday party, too:)
