Meet Tommy.  He's the blue jay that comes to Auntie Adie's tree right outside their kitchen in hopes of a peanut, which he'll politely take right out of your hand. 

 

Gabriela tried so hard to feed him a peanut, but Tommy didn't trust her - maybe it's because she went running up to him at full speed shouting his name at the top of her lungs? 

 So, Daddy came to help.

 Daddy helped Gabriela feed a peanut to Tommy and they were both very pleased about it. 

 Later that afternoon was Natalie's pre-party.  She turned 8 at the end of the month and we celebrated for the first time with family friends. Family friends who are serious cupcake bakers, at that. See for yourself!
