We are back from Lima. Lane, Gabriela and I had a great time visiting with my Mom and Dad, David, Tatiana, Christianne, Matthew, Theresa, Bobby, Andrew, Cynthia, Tim, Kryztie, and Mina. It was a little crazy trying to coordinate outings and taxi rides with all these guys but it was totally worth it. We had my mom's b-day celebration, went to the zoo, some parks, a little artisan market, just had lots of fun spending time together whether it was in our apartment, out for dinner or for drinks, and of course, we went to the wedding. Unfortunately, we didn't get a chance to see any ruins. They were kind of a ways away. Maybe next time when we don't have such a little baby. It's hard. You think you're ready to get out the door (finally!) and then she'll present us with a totally poopy diaper.
More later. We took tons of pictures of our trip.

Cynthia, Christianne, and I did go to Huaca Pucllana, temple ruins in Miraflores, Lima. It was very interesting--the temple site where young women between ages 12 and 26 were sacrificed to the gods. These ruins have been recently uncovered, within the past several decades.
David, Tatiana, Christianne, and Yolanda (Tati's mother)flew to Cusco, the Incan capital on Tuesday. After acclimating to the elevation (over 10,000 ft) they traveled to Macchu Picchu, world renown Inca ruins.
Just spoke to Christianne and David yesterday and today. It was very fascinating and astounding--a once in a lifetime trip for americanos.
