Christmas Tree Lane

We were so excited to have a couple days to visit with Uncle Matthew and Auntie Banu during December. They were able to join us on our walk down to Christmas Tree Lane. We are so lucky to have some of the best Christmas decorations not only in our town, but within walking distance from our house. But before we look at the beautiful lights, let's take a look at Gabriela and Banu's fancy trick. Look at Gabriela's new hair style, courtesy of Auntie Banu!
The Swans arrived at our house, we filled up our thermoses with hot cocoa and apple cider, bundled up, and walked over. The kids, of course, were all wearing their elf hats - even Easton!

It was such a joy having these two as guests. They are so happy together, and we are happy spending time with them. Thanks for coming to see us, guys!

And now, for some of those decorations!

 Merry Christmas, Yoda!

Gabriela had written on her letter to Santa that she wanted a toy kitchen mixer, a little kit of mouse dolls and outfits for them, a ginormous floor puzzle and then she went and asked Santa for make up.

Afterwards, she asked me if that was the real Santa. She wasn't quite convinced.  But she willingly told him what she hoped to receive and gladly accepted a candy cane from him.

We had a great time admiring all the decorations, sipping our hot cocoa, and nibbling on Christmas treats along the way with friends and family.
