Fakesgiving Grover Style

First, how cute is this little red car???  Claire MADE it for Easton in her woodshop class.  What a sweet birthday gift.  Easton started rolling it back and forth as soon as we got home.
After Thanksgiving we headed back up to the East Bay to finish the weekend off with Fakesgiving.  First, on Friday night us girls got our craft on while the boys hung out.

There was more brother love the next day.
The kids ran around all day and night.  They played endless games of hide-and-seek, went crazy in the rumpus room downstairs, played all sorts of pretend stuff, and at one point, Gabriela was tired, so Natalie put her down for a nap and read stories to her.  Such sweet cousins.

For dinner, Meliss made an amazing turkey and stuffing, mashed potatoes and gravy, delish brussells sprouts, I brought a spinach gratin and sweet potato rolls, and there was also a wonderful cranberry sauce. Ian and Lane took care of recreating the pumpkin crunch. I swear, the Grovers can't have Thanksgiving without it!  (thanks for the recipe a bajillion years ago, Malia ;)

I think I ate more than Lane.  Unheard of, I know. But I'm pretty sure it happened.
As you can see, the kids enjoyed Fakesgiving almost as much as we did.
Here's another shot of them, just to show you the bonkers poses Gabriela has started recently for her photos. It's like she is practicing to be a super model or something.
In true Gabriela style, she had a complete and utter breaking of her heart and subsequent melt down when it was time to say goodbye to Claire and Natalie. But we survived.

We are so lucky that our kids love each other as much as they do.
