Discovery Museum

Wow, have I got some catching up to do.
A few weeks ago we went to the Bay Area Discovery Museum with our friends, the Bushes. It's always nice to see them and to see our kids playing together.

Gabriela got a kick out of the balance exhibit.
Easton enjoyed walking across the bouncy bridge.
Walter figured out how to balance blocks with some help from his Daddy.

And Gabriela hung upside down from the bridge. Anyone surprised by this little monkey?
In the art room, Gabriela was mesmerized by the glitter. She hoarded a big pile of it and played for ever with it.  Easton came to help. It was so fun to have him walking around and experimenting with everything, instead of just attached to me and coming along for the ride.
"Oh, I see!  Like this, Mom?"
Daddy helped Gabriela spread glitter, put it through the funnel, empty containers, make patterns with it, write her name in the glitter.  Gabriela had so much fun, she didn't even paint at all. And that's usually her favorite thing in the art room.
Easton doing his "fish" sign and checking out those fishies. The kids also played with the trains, pretended to go fishing, crawled through tunnels.  They also played outside on the crow's nest and ship.
Walking around outside on the music maker.
When did my baby turn into such a big girl????
(So big that we are going to kindergarten orientations and tours and info sessions this week!!!)

Gabriela convinced us to run around in the outside structure and dig in the gravel pit before heading home.

Gabriela logged in some serious hula hoop practice.  She was pretty proud of herself and shimmying those hips like nobody's business, trying to keep from dropping the hoop.
