Nana sent us both Christmas aprons with instructions to use them right away. Here I am making dinner with my little helper of the day. Gabriela helps a lot in the kitchen, but every two minutes or so, she does the "hot" sign, says it, and reminds us we are working in front of the hot stove and need to be careful.

Dinner was seared pork tenderloin with a cocoa spice rub and quinoa pilaf with fennel and fresh cranberries. Gabriela scarfed it down like there was no tomorrow.
