Yesterday after dinner, the boys went out to run some errands. Claire & Natalie thought we should surprise them with a dessert. We came up with BANANA SURPRISE. We cooked little phyllo dough rounds, and when the cooled, put in chocolate pudding, then whipped cream, and a dusting of cocoa powder. We topped them off with a little baby banana slice.
It was a surprise, so we didn't tell them bananas were at the bottom. And we didn't mention dessert either. Instead, Natalie got everyone's attention: "Everyone, I have an announcement to make. Please go sit at the table - and someone bring Gabriela" Once we all obeyed and sat around the table, she decided to have us all stand. I think she just got a kick out of four adults listening to her.
Claire presented everyone with their Banana Surprise and it was a hit.
