Halloween

So the night before Halloween, we decided we were going to find Gabriela a babysitter and dress up and find a party to wear our costumes to. Luckily, I had us girls covered. See for yourself:

We were successful at finding not one, but two parties to attend, thanks to our friend, Torin.
Here is Heather at the party she said "we never should have gone to". Looks like she was having fun, if you ask me ;)

The boys. Oh, the poor boys. They decided to brave the Halloween madness and go to the costume stores on actual Halloween day to find something. While they were there, the power went out on two whole city blocks, leaving them to shop in the pitch black. They were assured that the cash registers still worked, so they continued shopping in the dark with other crazed customers. Finally, they were told the cash registers were in fact NOT working, but they could pay in cash, if they didn't need any change.
Lane paid $20 for a red petticoat for Heather and they left. Half way across the ginormous retail parking lot they heard some screaming and turned to find a store employee and security guard headed toward them, yelling at them to stop. Now seriously, if two guys were to steal something from the Halloween store, do you really think they'd pick a satiny red petticoat?? They were instructed to return to the store to prove they had paid for their item. The girl who checked them out was no where to be found. They had to go find her on her break and bring her to the front of the store so she could confirm that they'd paid the cash.
Then they left the store to find that the power was out at the other nearby Halloween store and all the traffic lights were out due to the power outage. This is why they are wearing the "costumes" below. At least we had some wigs in the closet. They were put to good use.
When people asked the boys who they were dressed up as, they'd shockingly say, "you can't tell????" leaving people wondering why they were supposed to, but didn't know who the heck these guys were.
We were so lucky our friend Patti was available to watch Gabriela and that we were able to have a night out with Tim & Heather. The only thing that would have made the evening better would have been more dancing. Next time we'll find a raging dance party. Promise.

Um, did you warn your friend about what happens when you dress up as a scantily-clad Mrs. Claus and go to a Halloween party??
