Easter Pics

I know I'm way behind, but I'll try to do some catch up from our visit. Saturday night before Easter, the kids had a night time Easter egg hunt! The eggs all had reflectors on them and each kid got a flashlight. Gabriela caught on quickly and it was good practice for the next morning. She got special eggs with sweet cereal instead of candy and she loved it!
The older kids all wrote notes to the Easter Bunny. Chaney gave permission to the adults to read his letter. It was the sweetest thing ever. He actually asked the Easter Bunny to please leave bunny tracks for Gabriela. awwww. The Easter Bunny came through on that request, and Chaney was thrilled!
Natalie's note
I don't know what Claire's note said because it was for the Easter Bunny's eyes only.
Beau's note cracks me up. He was a little devastated that he lost some candy from the Easter-Eve egg hunt. See the sad face with tears streaming down it?!? So cute!
Kids waking up and finding their baskets

Somehow, the Easter Bunny knew Gabriela was all the way in CA for Easter. I think Auntie Meliss and Auntie Adie left him a note or something. Gabriela had all sorts of sweet things - a watering can, play-doh easter eggs, an easter book, a bunny, some paints, and even some candy!
Natalie's chocolate bunny was bigger than her head!
This is Gabriela after her first taste of m&ms. She daintily nibbled on one and her eyes lit up as soon as she got a good taste of that chocolate - she quickly went back for more. yum! Beau was just happy to watch her and sit close to his cousin, but Gabriela got a little nervous. She put her hands over her chocolate and said, "No, Beau!"
The Easter fun was just getting started. After the kids got dressed, they all went outside for another egg hunt. Unfortunately, it was freezing so we had to get all bundled up. (it was like 80 degrees in DC)
Gabriela knew exactly what she was doing. She said "egg" and picked them up and put them in her basket. We put a little goodie in there that wasn't an egg and she promptly picked it up and THREW it out of her basket!

And these next photos pretty much sum up Easter:
Gabriela taking a little taste of a peanut butter cup. She's deciding whether or not she likes it...
Looks like that's a yes.

We had a delicious ham and scalloped potato dinner with all the Grover fam before hitting the road to get down to Gilroy.
