We are so excited that Ian and Adrienne's visit to DC is quickly approaching. We can't wait to visit with them, see our lovely nieces, and show them Washington DC. We were even hoping their visit would coincide with the beautiful cherry blossoms. There are literally thousands of cherry trees all throughout the city, and they are just gorgeous when in full bloom.
Adrienne couldn't have planned the dates of her family's vacation any better. Just yesterday she forwarded me an official Cherry Blossom Festival email saying this:

Rob DeFeo, Chief Horticulturist for the National Park Service, announces his prediction for the peak bloom dates of the Yoshino cherry trees around the Tidal Basin to be March 27 through April 3, 2008. (the exact dates of their trip!!)
