Today I finally spoke with someone at the doctor's office who was very pleasant and polite. The woman checked my chart, spoke with the doctor and confirmed that the visit was coded incorrectly. She said the billing company would void the charges, and it will be all taken care of.
BUT, she also said that while they were voiding the charge, they would still not code the visit as prenatal. Apparently, you get 2 ultrasounds per normal pregnancy. This way, I will still have another ultrasound covered by the insurance. That was a nice surprise to hear.
Hopefully my insurance woes are over for a while.
